6. Third-Party Platform Data (Social Listening)

For clients of Media Proper who engage our social-listening or reputation-management services, Media Proper reads public engagement data — reviews, comments, and (where the client explicitly authorizes it) direct messages — from third-party platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, and LinkedIn. Access is provided through OAuth tokens the client grants to Media Proper through the official Meta / Google / LinkedIn consent flows. The data is mirrored into Media Proper’s internal portal at portal.mediaproper.com for the sole purpose of helping the client’s account team triage and respond.

Media Proper does not resell this data, share it with parties outside the contracted engagement, or use it for advertising, profiling, or unrelated commercial purposes. Access inside the portal is restricted to authenticated Media Proper staff under role-based permissions, and the data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Tokens that expire or are revoked at the platform side immediately stop the corresponding mirror.

7. Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of personal data Media Proper holds about you – including data captured from third-party social platforms Media Proper manages on behalf of a client – email info@mediaproper.com from the address associated with the data, or write by post to 20 W. 3rd St., Media, PA 19063. Media Proper will acknowledge the request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, with written confirmation on completion.

If the data was captured on a client’s social media page (Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, LinkedIn), you may also contact the client directly or use the platform’s own deletion tools. Media Proper honors platform-side removal in its mirror immediately on the next sync cycle.

If we picked up the data from one of our client’s social pages, you can also contact that client or use Facebook / Instagram / Google’s built-in tools — we’ll mirror the deletion on our side automatically.
